Don’t want to spend $200 or more on trendy metallic denim? DIY!
Inspired by my creative cousin, Rebecca, constructing your own metallic pant is an easy and fun way to stay trendy without breaking the bank.
Need: Acrylic paint (silver, gold, etc), Soft gel gloss, and a foam paint brush.
Directions: Use 1/3 soft gel gloss, 2/3 acrylic paint and mix both together in a plastic container. Paint one coat (maybe two) smoothly onto an old pair of jeans (I prefer black) and than dab your brush all over to create a more texturized look.
Let dry for one hour… than flip over to paint the other side! Once they’re dry they’re ready to wear!
Note: Wait one week to wash after paint application for best results, and wash inside out.
Try pairing these with a simple black or white top. With vibrant pants… sometimes less is more!
